Trains Running Through Shanghai and Guilin

Fast Facts

There are four trains departing from Shanghai South Railway Station and arriving at Guilin Railway Station: T77, K181, K537 and K149.

The T77 has been running between Shanghai and Guilin Since April 1, 2008, and is a super-fast train running at a speed of 140 km/h and terminating at Guilin Railway Station. It leaves Shanghai South Railway Station at 4:18 p.m. and reaches Guilin Railway Station at 11:30 a.m. the next day, taking 19 hours and 12 minutes, and calling at fifteen stops. Stops include: Shanghai South Railway Station, Jiaxing, Haining, Hangzhou East, Yiwu, Jinhua West, Quzhou, Shangrao, Yingtan, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Yongzhou, Dongan East, Quzhou South and Guilin South. It covers 1621 km by using the Xianggui, Jingguang and Hukun Railways.

The K181 runs at a speed of 120 km/h, starting from Shanghai South Railway Station at 4:06 p.m. and arrives at Kunming Railway Station, the last stop, at 10:24 a.m. two days after departure, covering 2,875 km. Guilin is the nineteenth stop for the K181 at 3:02 p.m. the next day after a distance of 1,616 km. From Shanghai to Guilin, the train calls at Shanghai South, Jiaxing, Haining, Hangzhou East, Yiwu, Jinghua West, Quzhou, Yushan, Shangrao, Yingtan, Xinyu, Pingxiang, Liling, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Qidong, Qiyang, Yongzhou and Guilin South.

The K537 runs at a maximum speed of 120 km/h from Shanghai South Railway Station at 4:49 p.m. and reaches its seventeenth stop, Guilin Railway Station, at 2:02 p.m. the next day. After stopping in Guilin for about 10 minutes, the train continues for a further six hours and arrives at Nanning Railway Station at 8:18 p.m. It calls at seventeen stops between Shanghai and Guilin: Shanghai South, Jiaxing, Haining, Hangzhou East, Yiwu, Jinhua West, Quzhou, Shangrao, Yingtan, Pingxiang, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Qidong, Qiyang, Yongzhou, Xingan and Guilin.

The K149 is operates between Shanghai and Zhenjiang, calling at its twentieth stop, Guilin Railway Station, after 21 hours and 16 minutes, having covered a distance of 1,602 km. Starting from Shanghai South Railway Station at 8:49 a.m., the train stops at Guilin Railway Station at 6:05 a.m. the next day for 13 minutes. During this section, stops include Shanghai South, Jiaxing, Hangzhou East, Zhuji, Yiwu, Jinhua West, Quzhou, Jiangshan, Shangrao, Yingtan, Dongxiang, Fengcheng, Xinyu, Yichun, Pingxiang, Liling, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Yongzhou and Guilin.

Train Schedule, Seats and Ticket Prices

All trains are fully air-conditioned, and most are equipped with hard seats, hard sleepers and soft sleepers. The T77 has only hard sleepers and soft sleepers. Prices for different types are the same for these four trains, ranging from 192 Yuan to 537 Yuan.
