Follow the Trails of Old Shanghai left by László Hugyecz
László Hugyecz (L•E•Hudec, 1893-1958), is a name that will not be forgotten by Shanghainese. László Hugyecz was an architect from Hungarian who devoted most of his lifetime to Shanghai and the design many building in the city.
The buildings that we could see today including Park Hotel Shanghai(formerly tallest building in Asia until the 1980's), Shanghai Moore Memorial Church, The Grand Theatre, the Green House (The historic Wu House, at Tongren Rd and West Beijing Rd.) and more. We will follow the trails to look into the old times of Shanghai. Looking at the buildings with a rich architectural history is like going back to the 1930s in old Shanghai and seeing how the Shanghainese lived during those days.
