Tour Description

Hangzhou is noted for its natural beauty and historical heritage. Our one day trip from Shanghai to Hangzhou shows you the best of Hangzhou. Our guide will pick you up at your Shanghai hotel for a 2 hour drive in a private van to Hangzhou.

Our first stop is the icon of Hangzhou - West Lake. Embraced by hills on three sides, the West Lake area encompasses numerous temples, pagodas, causeways, gardens and islands. A boat ride on the cruise provides a great way to the lakes and its environment. At northwest of the West Lake is the splendid Lingyin Temple, which is the oldest temple in the city with a history of 1,600 years. Endowed with beautiful landscape, the temple creates a tranquil atmosphere. In front of the main temple is Peak Flown from Afar with its Buddhist grottoes on the mountain. After lunch, continue our visit to Six Harmonies Pagoda which is one of the cultural relics of West Lake area. Climb to the top the pagoda, for a panoramic view of the amazing Qiantang River. Return to Shanghai after the tour.
