Mutianyu Great Wall & Dingling (Ming Tomb) Bus Tour
Pick up at your hotel between 7:00am and 8:30am, and then drive to Ming Tombs, which are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. From the Emperor Yongle onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in the surrounding area. Dingling, the one you will visit, is the tomb of Emperor Wan Li which is the first royal tomb excavated of the thirteen Ming Tombs. It takes 2 hours at Ming Tombs.
Before lunch (11:30), you have 45 minutes to have a short visit of Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is very famous special local product with Chinese traditional cultures and excellent skills on carving.
After lunch, we drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with seasons of a year. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. If you want to reach the highest point, cable car is a good choice (optional).
Head back to downtown Beijing and drive by the Olympic Green, having a distant view of both the National Stadium - the "bird Nest" and National Aquatics Center - the Water Cube. You can take pictures in the coach. After that, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the Chinese traditional Silk arts. Transfer back to your hotel around 6:00pm.
