This is a night of some very classic Peking activities and experiences including a wonderful Beijing roast duck dinner followed by a fine Beijing Opera show.

Beijing Roast Duck is renowned as the most delicious food in Beijing. The guide will take you to enjoy a Roast Duck dinner at a popular local restaurant.

After dinner, you will be driven to Liyuan Theater found within the Beijing Qianmen Hotel. This is the most prestigious performance venue for experiencing Beijing Opera. Liyuan Theater seats 1,000 audience members in total and provides English subtitles for viewers. Before the show, you are welcome to visit backstage to see the makeup room. Beijing Opera is really a performance art to behold when you are in China as it is considered one of the finest arts in the country and reflects the best of Chinese art and culture. The shows are elaborate and profound, combining music, vocal performance, mime, dance, and acrobatics in one sitting. The shows'narratives are often folk stories while an increasing number tell more contemporary stories. Watch as the actors show feeling through their appearance and using their makeup, a graceful gestures completing their intended expressions.

At the end of the show, you can choose to stay longer in the area as you wish, or we will be happy to take you back to your hotel.
