If you have a short time in Shanghai, a day trip to Beijing from Shanghai will be cool enough to offer you a perfect China stopover tour. Your Shanghai guide will contact you ahead of your departure day and pick you up at the appointed time in your Shanghai hotel lobby. A local driver will take you to the airport for your flight to Beijing in a private car. Say goodbye to your Shanghai guide and you will meet your Beijing guide soon after the 2-hour flight.
Your Beijing guide will escort you to Mutianyu Great Wall from the Beijing airport via private van. We chose this section of the Great Wall because it is the most popular section with our foreign customers and also less-crowded. At the same time it is also ranked #1 among all Beijing attractions on Trip Advisor. The beautiful scenery stretching out across the mountains is the real highlight.
You can expect enough time on the Mutianyu Great Wall to soak up its beauty. Take photos from different places and angles so you’ll have plenty of memories you can share with your friends when going back home. Also we have arranged the round-way cable cars for you to ascend and descend the wall. This is a special experience when visiting Mutianyu Great Wall and at the same time it will maximize your time on the wall.
Your lunch is offered near the Great Wall in a local restaurant. Your guide will help you order the dishes according to your unique needs. Afterwards, you will stop at a local cloisonné workshop to see the traditional hand-made craft, but no forced shopping.
After finishing your tour in Mutianyu Great Wall, your local guide will transfer you via private car back to Beijing airport for your return flight to Shanghai. After the 2-hour flight, meet your Shanghai guide again who will take you back to your Shanghai hotel from the airport. You can relax all the way.
We use different hotels for different tour classes while the itinerary is the same. Deluxe Class is usually staying at a 5-star hotel, Superior Class at a 4-star hotel and Tourist Class at a 3-star level hotel. The prices for one person are based on sharing twin hotel rooms with another guest. A supplement is necessary if you want to book single rooms. And the prices may rise during national holidays, such as the National Day (September 30th to October 6th) and Chinese New Year (late January or early February)
All of our tour guides are certificated and experienced. They are local experts with detailed knowledge about attractions, history, culture and more. They know the best places to visit, can give you advice on restaurants that serve great local food, the best places to shop, or theaters for the best shows in town.
We use the modern air-conditioned luxury cars for families or 2-3 persons and small buses for small groups of 4-7 persons.
